Ex-Yugo Importer to develop 100mpg plug-in hybrid vehicle

The man, who brought Yugo’s to the U.S Malcolm Bricklin, now has a new venture, and that is to try to develop a luxury plug-in hybrid vehicle, which is capable of 100mpg by 2009. These cars will be made in China and Bricklin hopes to be able to build a factory in China in order to make the parts in this electric vehicle.

Malcolm is keen on the idea on having these cars built in China, as production costs are so low that he will be able to mass-produce these luxury plug-in hybrid vehicles, which run on lithium-ion battery packs. The parts will be made in his new plant in China will be sold on to other companies such as, Phoenix and Tesla and others alike.

  1. Any car that does 100mpg is a great idea in my book and with costs so high for fuel this is great for the pocket.
To top it off, being a hybrid vehicle makes it even better.
