For years, people have moaned about how noisy cars can be but you would never imagine that people would complain if cars were to quite. That is exactly what Cheryl Martin the director from the Lilac Blind Foundation has been doing.

Members from this group have said they cannot hear the approach of a Hybrid Vehicle so when they stick their canes out the cars have run over the tips and broken them. They also worry that it could become a lot worse as more and more hybrid cars are appearing on our streets.

They are now calling for noisemakers to be fitted to hybrid vehicles in order for the blind to hear the car when it is coming.
