Military 8 Wheel Hybrid Truck to Undergo Testing

I spoke recently about Hybrid Powered Vehicles for the Federal Government , which does send out the right message for other but now the U.S are going even further and this time it is the Military that will be using more environmentally friendly vehicles in the form of a 8 Wheel Hybrid Truck

The (HEMTT A3) or Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck as the Oshkosh are calling it who make this trucks are to be use by both the U.S Army and also the U.S Marines, the truck as we said has 8 wheels and weighs in at 13 tonnes, oh but don’t let the size put you off as it uses 205 less fuel as a result of being a hybrid

The diesel engine helps to keep all eight motors charged up that are placed on each of the eight wheels; the generator also can support 100 kilowatts of exportable power which while stationary is able to run a command-and-control centre and also a field hospital as well

Soon the HEMMT A3s will start to undergo major tests in which top army official will judge it’s capabilities, the test will consist on and off road over a distance of 10,000 miles
