We know in Detroit Toyota ends up getting a Hybrid tax credit of $3,150 which can be passed on to the buyer of a hybrid car, but Toyota feel knowing that this tax break is about to come to an end would like to get an extension on this so they can still pass on these great savings to the buyers which has helped them sell 60,000 of these vehicles and that was the limit that each car manufacturer had to reach before congress stopped the hybrid tax credit
Toyota know that they can still pass on a saving to their customers but it is far smaller than the $3,150 that previous hybrid car buyers used to get and they fear that this could cause a slump in sales which in turn could have a knock on effect towards the environment
Toyota are the only car manufacturer to have reached their 60,000 hybrid car sales target which makes them the biggest hybrid seller and so many of the other car makers are not so happy about Toyota trying to get an extension on the tax credit, but then again I bet they would all be wanting an extension if they had all reached the target themselves
Do you think that Toyota should be able to extend this hybrid tax credit?

I am sure they will get the tax break a bit longer as they are doing good for the environment by building these cars instead of all petrol ones, if they do not get the tax break then that will just go to show what a messed up world we leave in.
